in particular. Quite unlike Hans Moravec, Kurzweil goes to considerable
lengths to show how humans and machine intelligence will merge. His is
*not* a picture of us vs. them.
That is also true of George Dyson (another whipping-boy of Jaron Lanier) who
see's humanity, one way or the other, as the Ghost in the machine. We are
Borg, we are the machine, want some nachos?
