The best "Fix" for the movie was to include a short socratic dialog:

Neo: "Batteries! Thats ridiculous!"

"Why?"

Neo: "That's totally counter to the laws of physics!"

"And where did you learn that?"

Neo: "In school!"

"And where did you go to school?"

Neo "In the .... Oh!"
