I had the same experience when I sent money into the CTNS, Center for
Theology and the Natural Sciences, headed by John Russell. No free T-shirts
or coffee mugs either. Basically, I just let the money go, and even
beforehand, I had received their mailed newsletters anyway, because I liked
some of their speakers. You either donate or you don't, I suppose.
