Department: User Documentation
Responsibilities: Responsible to design and develop online HELP, user's
guides, training materials, Web-based materials and other information products
for internal and external end-users. This position is also responsible to
train junior writers and assume some project lead functions.
Qualifications: This position requires 10 years of technical writing
experience in a corporate environment including: minimum 4 years developing
online HELP for mainframe, AS400, client/server and/or Web-based systems and
solid experience writing business policies and procedures. Some experience
creating training guides and materials or serving as department editor would
be a definite plus. Skills required for this position include advanced
writing skills; excellent planning and project management skills; and facility
with various authoring tools for Windows, HELP, HTML and mainframe/AS400
online documentation. The ability to interact effectively with all levels of
IR and user management is critical.
Education Required: Bachelor's degree in the liberal arts such as English,
Journalism, Communications or Business. A Master's degree is highly desirable
