This is kinda where I was going with the videotaped boxing notion: no *new* brain-bashing necessary. Perhaps computer simulated boxing? Now that I think about it, I do play WW2 air fighter simulations, and I realize how much better those are than the real thing: one can survive long enough to play many matches. Perhaps we can deal with the that side of our human natures by simulating them and playing out our darker fantasies harmlessly. spike
