I don't trust this guy. If he was really on the ball, he'd have named the mouse "Algernon" in accordance with the long-standing tradition.

Speaking of Algernae, of course, I've noticed that memory seems to be the easiest thing to enhance, in both mice (Doogie) and humans (the whole cholinergic thing). I repeat my previous guess that augmented memory trades off with flexibility of memory in some way, possibly even with the ability to think about symbols consciously and manipulate their definitions.
