I'll second that. I especially find the earlier version of the paper on "Dynamic Optimism" to be far superior to the present one. In fact, I was very happy that I kept my old copy, as I would us it exclusively as a way to introduce people to extropian principles... unfortunately the last person I gave it to never gave it back!
I think the "new is better" meme is particularly dangerous for an extropian mind. I know I fall prey to it every once and a while. ;-)
