I finally got around to seeing these pictures by Anders and thought they were quite good. They seem very much in the tradition of "classical" surrealism, a genre well suited for expression of transhumanist ideas and values. I particularly liked "The Domino Effect" as the kind of accessible, didactic imagery that can convey ideas in ways that language is less efficient at: ostensive rhetoric, if you will. Many of the other pictures (for instance, "Blood Music" and "Kindergarten") rely on a visual vocabulary that should be familiar to many science fiction fans, and therefore able to reach an audience wider than the current transhumanist circles.
Very good, Anders!

I tried to make it to the reception, but my wormhole instruments glitched and I arrived at July 31, 1883, instead . . .
