The scanning/OCR process is cheap enough, a reliable robot to page the book would be significantly more expensive, though. I plan to scan my hom library by hand, to make it more transportable. As to outlaw web publishing: people are doing it for quite a while, already. Unfortunately, Internet gets progressively regulated, so you're likely to face stiff charges for copyright infringement in the future.
