It's fascinating to see that Dr Cochrane has evidently recapitulated many
of the basic ideas discussed here all on his ownsome, with a little help
from Star Trek:NG, which means that their expression is a tad primitive.
But how cheering to see someone in such a salient position in the Real
World endorsing the wild Spikish ideas that most scientists still run away
from with their fists jammed in their mouths.
