Boot camp programs, when applied to criminals, even juvinile first
offenders, according to studies I've seen, experience the exact same
rate of recidivism as the normal prison population. The only difference
is that those who don't recede tend to be more successful, possibly due
to the self discipline aspects of boot camp. If anyone has different
data, I'd like to hear about it.
