Type 1 diabetes murine gene found, vaccine on the cards

Dr Robyn Slattery at the Australian National University has announced
discovery of a key gene conducing to type 1 diabetes in mice. Everyone is
running about wagging their tails, saying this has been sought desperately
for 20 years, and could be what's needed to create a vaccine.
