A broken link from today's EurekAlerts http://www.eurekalert.org/ left me,
instead, wandering thru all this potential:

BioMEMS & Biomedical Nanotechnology WORLD 2001 encompasses all interfaces
and intersections of the life sciences and clinical disciplines with
microsystems and nanotechnology. Areas of interest include, but are not
limited to, micro- and nanotechnologies for drug delivery; tissue
engineering; harvesting, manipulation, amplification, and sequencing of
nucleic acids, proteomics, microfluidics, and miniaturized total analysis
systems (microTAS); biosensors; molecular assembly; nanoscale imaging; and
integrated systems. Contributions addressing all stages of research and
development are welcome, from basic science fundamentals and technology
concepts to product development, clinical investigations, and business and
ethical considerations.

this stuff. But there's probably someone here who is willing to correct that
insensitivity/transgression.
