I think there is a point being missed. Our enemy is not the Afghan people so
much as the Taliban....the meme-set.
So...........let's destroy it. culture-cide...not genocide...
For example...what would happen if.
Millions of tiny, tiny radios (just how tiny CAN a radio receiver
BE?....complete with speaker and solar<?> power supply?).........were
cropdusted over the entirety of the country....sticky backed, or
cockle-burred...so that they "migrate" all over and are a major pain to
remove...
All of em playing "best-of" Howard Stern......(helpfully translated into the
local dialect)
What might that do to the Taliban?
or.......
Play on their superstition.....
"Large black (robot) bats.....red eyes glowing.......flying thru the
nite...giggling hysterically...
Or......
zillions of tiny robots.....wandering about at random....recording a
conversation here.....playing it back there.....
Or............
An "airlift" to Afghanistan........unmanned cargo gliders.......full
of.......hundreds of thousands of copies
of......cosmopolitan....redbook........ladies home
journal........playboy........hustler.........popular
science......ebony......gay blade.....etc etc etc.....(all hepfully
translated)
or...........
spray the country with a birth control substance....(or claim that's what it
is anyway....in reality it's water)
or..........
Spray the country with a substance that makes the mens's beards fall
out....or all their hair.....or makes them impotent.......
Or.........
Develop teletroopers.....two foot tall (or so) tele-operated robots...(solar
power?) complete with various weapons.....air lift in about a zillion....and
give the controls to pre-teen and teenage boys.....
or........
offer Jerry Falwell (and any and all televangelists).......an expense paid
trip <no security> to meet with the Taliban....(..this would Help our
country a Lot..either way....whether Falwell goes or wusses...<if he
goes...he's gone...if he doesn't....no credibility>.)
or.........
Divert the "output" of a Walmart distribution center to
Afghanistan....delivery via <many> cargo gliders...
or........
have a global competetion....complete with tv type game show hosts...(and
vanna white ).....to come up with various and sundry nasty tricks.....(or use
the EarthWeb scenario)
or..........
the mind boggles...
