Here http://www.cnn.com/CNN/Programs/presents/index.veil.html
is a documentary put together by a woman who went through Afghanistan posing
as an ordinary woman, with a camera hidden under her burqa. She met with
representative of the Association of Revolutionary Women of Afghanistan who
use hidden cameras to take photos of atrocities such as mass executions and
teach classes for women in secret, because by law, women are not allowed
education beyond the age of 12.

My thoughts and hopes are with these courageous women who maintain their
human dignity even in the midst of horribly unjust "law," and famine
resulting from drought and years of war. Killing people like these women and
their children and the men who continue to resist the Taliban, rather than
seeking out and selectively killing members of the Taliban would be as
abominable as the recent terrorist attacks.
