I don't think what I'm about to say is the answer you are looking for, I
won't
be suggesting whiz-bang futuristic solutions.
My "innovative solution" to terrorism is to propose that the US stop
intervening around the globe, which is, IMHO, what makes us the target.
Back
in the 50's, perhaps, here in fortress America we could get away with
assassinating the elected Prime Minister of Iran and imposing a
dictatorial
Shah who got his decades of oppressive rule in return for supporting
"our
interests".
But in the today's shrunken globe, when our leader decides, to pick one
minor
example, to launch cruise missiles against a vaccine and medical
facility in
the Sudan [I think it was the Sudan, it is hard to keep up with all of
our
recent force projections], in order to take everyone's minds off of that
days
sensational sexual deposition, we may expect retaliation.
America has projected force in so many regions of the world recently,
there is
quite a list who might be behind this terrorist act.
You can improve technology all you want, but if you piss off enough
people,
you will elicit a determined response.
