I read Anthem and did find it elegantly simple at displaying the essence of
Objectivism, but at the time, I really needed a more explict accounting of
philosophy. I couldnt gather the entire structure of it from Anthem, just
major points. No proofs were included per se. What really amazed me was the
axioms she discovered, and proofs that back them up. Very clear, very
precise. Anthem was a beautiful symphony. "Philosophy, who needs it" was
like attending Juliard for a year :)
