For *potential* side effects, see what Tom Matthews has to say at LEF's
forum here:

I am not diabetic (as far as I know), but I usually take a 1000mg capsule
every day. That seems to me to be enough to derive some of the benefits of
CLA without being too risky.
As for your impaired glucose tolerance, have you tried a calorie-restricted
diet? It improves glucose tolerance and seems to be very helpful for a lot
of diabetics. Two good sites: http://www.infinitefaculty.org/sci/cr/cr.htm

In the course of looking at some web pages on impaired glucose tolerance
(which I was diagnosed with this summer) and diabetes, I found
references to
this dietary supplement. It seems to be fairly credible, and to have a
lot
of good effects, with no reported side effects. Has anyone here tried
this
or had any experiences with it?
