Despite my long-time stance on how IQ is no accurate measurement of one's
overall mental ability/intelligence/wisdom/common sense etc., I must admit
that I am often drawn to taking various sorts of IQ tests. Some of the
online ones I have taken have been somewhat adequate, but much too
short. Recently, I purchased two books (only $4 each) called "Self Scoring
IQ Tests" (ISBN 0760701644) and "Self Scoring Emotional Intelligence
Tests." (ISBN 0760723702) The first of these is written by MENSA president,
Victor Serebriakoff (one of the MENSA requirements is to spell his name
without looking...) while the second is sponsored by MENSA. Both are quite
comprehensive, and I recommend them both.

For the record, I am fairly good at both the cognitive and spatial tests,
but while most of the answers I get for the number tests are correct, it
would take me a lot longer than the allowable time to complete them
all...therefore a lower score. :-( Still, they are "fun" as long as you
don't take them too seriously.
