Yes, and the advantage of such rejection is that it helps to prevent making
extropy or science into a religion. Immature people can make anything into a
religion, but the intent of more mature and responsible people is to use
science and extropy to move into a better future.
Useless hypotheses, etc.:
consciousness, phlogiston, philosophy, vitalism, mind, free will, qualia,
analog computing, cultural relativism, GAC, CYC, and ELIZA
We won't move into a better future until we debunk religiosity, the most
regressive force now operating in society.
