Actually, the reason this formula was cheap and marketed to third-world
countries was that it was outlawed in the US and Europe for being deficient
in required vitamins. This "baby formula" was known to lack enough food to
keep a baby alive, but they sold it anyway, rather than lose money on a
fatally flawed product.
