I guess from the start of recorded history to date.........

The Neanderthals & homo erectus clearly lived in a *pre-human era*.

Some "primitive" tribes, although homo sapiens, seem to be living in a
different psychological state to modern people, which Jung compares
with what we might now call "schizophrenia"
(cite aboriginal dreamtime) in which "animism" and communication with
spirits is a constant and real experience. Such tribes which had no concept
of
"human" could also be said to be pre-human.

The post-human period starts with median vision theory (MVT) and the
solution of the "hard problem" in western philosophy, and the resulting
transparency through understanding of modern self-referential consciousness,
and is a state of mind rather than any technological improvement (these are
incremental and have been going on throughout human history).
