Extropic T-shirts etc. [Was: Re: Death Symbols]

Amidst all these ideas for T-shirts (and coffee cups and mouse pads, etc.),
I'd like to suggest that someone help us create a marketplace at
www.extropy.org for advertising and selling them. The idea would be that
anyone can come up with a design, after a quick review of the design it can
be advertised on a section of the site, and the profits can be split in
some equitable way between the designer and ExI.

This would concentrate the ideas and create a place where people regularly
look for such items. More ideas would be implemented, more memes would be
spread, and at least small amounts of life-giving cash would flow into the
hands of meme-makers and ExI. (I have a few ideas of my own for T-shirts
and I bet Natasha could produce numerous great designs for everything from
T-shirts to posters if so inclined.)

I don't have time to run this marketplace, but I see no problem with
rewarding whoever does run it with part of ExI's percentage. (On items like
posters or other things more pricey than T-shirts and mugs the amounts
could get interestings--especially if we can increase traffic to our
current two web sites, and the third one I'm planning.)

Another part of the marketplace might be modelled on The Motley Fool's
Soapbox (www.soapbox.com) or Multex Investor, where individuals can sell
their own research reports. If anyone is interested in helping develop
these ideas, please let me know on-list or off-list.

Onward!
