Through movement exercises, visualization, and hands-on techniques you will
learn repatterning for functional problems that can be the underlying cause of
chronic physical stress. You will learn the kinesiological principles that
govern coordination to improve all movement from the everyday to the most
demanding skill. Sessions will draw from the neuromuscular education disciplines
of Laban Movement Analysis, Bartenieff Fundamentals, the Alexander Technique,
and Ideokinesis.

In earlier research Krasnow noted two well-known practices in use for dance
training. One is a collection of somatic practices known as body therapies which
emphasize neuromuscular repatterning: that is, their focus is to alter alignment
or movement habits by addressing how the brain sends messages to the muscles.
"The body therapies, such as the Alexander Technique and Sweigard's Ideokinesis,
put the emphasis on whole body integration and connections," she explains. "The
other is physical conditioning practices, which address specific muscles and
physical structures. These methods include activities like weight-training."
What Krasnow attempts to do is combine the potential benefits of each into her
C-I Training program.
