I agree with Zero that 2040 is probably a good estimate of when we will see robots capable of matching or exceeding all human facets of intelligence. Arthur C. Clarke in reexamining when AI would mature put the date also at 2040; so you are in good company.
So, if Eli were to take me up on my bet I could be sipping A&W root beer a decade from now at his expense... And of course I would share with Joel and Zero!
