Cysteine is supposed to be a precursor of glutathione peroxidase, and
N-acetyl cysteine is supposed to be a form that maximizes the portion
available for that use. It's one of the supplements I use. According to what
I've read, Alpha lipoic acid is a kind of 'master' anti-oxidant that can
renew many other anti-oxidants. I've been using that also. I'll be watching
with interest to see what feedback you get regarding superoxide dismutase
and catalase.

Does anyone know of any safe accessible oral drugs that increase levels of
Superoxide dismutase; glutathione peroxidase and catalase (separately or
together...)?
