Wow! I just knew that as soon as I stopped systematically covering the
field for the magazines, then they would finally actually release the thing.
  Really nice. I saw it at SIGGRAPH or E3 or one of the other shows a
couple years back, and it just blew me away. However, a couple of the
official Trinity dealers then told me that they had been waiting forever,
living on promises from Play, and were really fed up.
I talked with one of the two major developers of Trinity at the last show
where I saw it and asked them if there was anything in the hardware that
would prevent them from using trigger points or areas in the 3D virtual sets
for real-time interactions with the Virtual environment. He told me that
nothing stopped it except that the software didn't yet support it - but it
was a good idea.

So, with Trinity and a little programming work you could have - for a mere
$10,000+ - a high-def real-time VR system that puts you directly into a 3D
VR, with interactions, shadows, reflections, the whole Monte.
