Is your spouse still a believer? Does she think her husband is on the
highway to hell? That could be tricky, particularly when it comes to
bringing up the kids.
I was fortunate in that my wife was never quite as "religious" as I was, so
it was not such a big thing when I lost my religion. She has steadily
maintained her own blend of non-specific "spirituality" while I have ridden
the pendulum from "fire and brimstone" fundamentalist to happy heretic. I
knew there was something good about that woman the day I laid eyes on her :)
