You would also need a good model of how the neurons grow and how the
patterns change and extend and repair themselves over time, making it
relatively easy to integrate massive new amounts of virtual neural
material. If you had a complete model of the brain, it would be a very
short time before you figured out how to extend it in simple ways. And
even shorter in upload-time.
