I like Napster because it fosters the "information wants to be free" ethic.
I am writing a novel now, and someday will register the copyright on it. I
will try to rake in as much cash as possible from it, but I suppose I won't
be able to complain if somebody scans the whole thing and posts it to
Usenet. But I suppose I write for the enjoyment of the creative process,
and even if I knew for a fact that I'd never earn a dime from the book, I'd
keep writing it anyway.
