One point, just in case anybody missed it:
The statistician in me feels compelled to point out that this is not the view of "society". This is the view of males about females. Since males are <50% of the population, this is not a majority view. Since gays probably do not view females in the same way as straights, this number shrinks lower. Since this is not a universal view even among heterosexual males, it is a smaller fraction still. Therefore, statistically speaking, this is a minority view at best.
