I beg to disagree, and a simple archive check will verify my objection. BTW, how contradictory is it to try to foist personal responsibility on the irresponsible (violent criminals, children, the mentally deficient and/or deranged, spouse and/or child abusers)? I do not wish people like that to have the ability to decide whether I live or die with the squeeze of a trigger, and consider the effort to extract guns from their hands to be a matter of personal preservation.

You also believe that the right of the aforementioned irresponsible parties to attack others should not be compromised, only punished after the sad fact. The Kosovar Albanians would LOVE it if the Serbs lacked weapons - just ask 'em.

I don't want to repeal the 2nd Amendment, I just want to restrict gun ownership to, mainly, those who can vote (with a few exceptions, such as abusers and the mentally incompetent who keep voting RepubliChristians in).

As long as the hills are not within firing range of me and mine, fine.
