This technology cannot come soon enough for me. however things like = cochlear implants for the deaf are already avaliable . Soon we will = have chips that enable the blind to see. However the situation can = sometimes be ironical. As one who is hearing impaired I once applied for = a cochlear implant only to be told that I do not qualify because I am = not deaf enough!!!!! There is also a long waiting list.
