Anyone remember the big scene in the X-Files movie last year where they discover massive honeybee farms run by the government?... well, just found a possible explanation for it... apparently, at Sandia National Labs they're using honeybees to seek out land mines.. at least, that's the current purpose they're researching. Of course, in practice, they could use this 'bee survey' method to find pretty much anything a bee could... kind of relates to what we're thinking of doing with nanobot reconnaissance..
