You just said the Better Ways work together. The Better Way of Unix doesn't
have a Keyboards control panel. Well, some Linux desktops might. If I turned
off the virtual consoles on my OpenBSD system, then haha, good luck getting
anything done without a keyboard.

Although X cut-paste can get you pretty far, actually. Mostly I'm pointing
out a seeming break in your Iconoclasm.
