About 15 years ago I ran the telephone system for a large hospital
complex that included an animal testing facility.
The animal rights movement was just picking up steam back then and
it was a subject of discussion amongst the researchers.
I suggested they have patients sign a waver noting that the
procedure they were about to undergo was developed using animal
testing.
I've never heard yet of a so-called activist refusing a medical
procedure because it was developed on animals, but I wouldn't be
surprised either.
