I'm listening to CNET Radio (SF Bay area AM 910; also RealAudio),
and hear that Bill Joy's talk at Stanford tonight 1730-1830 PST
will *pre-empt* Gov. Gray Davis' talk being aired on the more
conventional talk radio stations.

Excerpt:

"Joy to the (end of the) world
Bill Joy, cofounder and chief scientist of Sun Microsystems, shocked the
scientific world a year ago by
publishing an article detailing how genetics, robotics, and nanotechnology
threaten the future of humankind.
Join CNET Radio tonite at 5:30 p.m. PT for a live broadcast as Joy
discusses his controversial views at
  Stanford University."

FYI, at times I've emailed on-air announcers at CNET, and
gotten almost instant on-air feedback. They take listener
feedback *very* seriously.
