I dunno... all the religious people I know are liberals, and all the
conservative people I know are capitalists. Nobody talks about socialism
anymore, so perhaps "the left" is just a euphemism for socialism. Maybe
socialists don't like biotech because it conflicts with Marxist dogma
about limited supply and resources.
I mean, if these crazy capitalists can actually produce the cornucopia of
wealth and health that biotech promises, that would effectively put all
the socialists out of work.
