a wave of phantom clowns that terrorized children in the spring of 1981. >>
Beware here! I was lunching with a local Chief of Detectives on fine day and
he mentioned a bizarre case from the recent past. It was a "Clown" flap
picture perfect. When I stopped him and continued his story for him he became
convinced that I knew "Too Much" of what the police held back from
publication. I had to bring him my copy of Lorens' book to be removed as a
suspect!
He was mortified and promptly gave me all his "occult crime " training
material, etc., to review. You should be aware that police are taught that
Forteans are closely allied to Witches, Pagans and other sinister creeps.
They don't recognize Fortean of course, but the UFO, Bigfoot, Crop circle
stuff is the sort of thing cited in their training manuals and courses as
suspect behavior/interest.
