I went through something similar the first time I tried an anti-depressant,
five or so years ago. I suspect though my experience might be better understood
psychodynamically: Discovering your last, best hope for a normal life just
makes you ill is a serious bummer. A friend is talking me into trying ecstasy
with her. The evidence I've skimmed on the neurological impact is rather
frightening, but certainly not conclusive. While a day off does sound
attractive, I'm not sure I have a great deal of serotonin production to spare.
