More interesting is the Thomas Gold "Fuel" article I am about to read. Gold
was a hard-case steady state universe kind of guy, but has since been shown
that the reverse appears true. Or maybe there's a steady state containing all
the universes people like De Witt, Everett, Wheeler, Linde, Smolin and
Tegmark like to live in? My point is, or answer to Herr Joy is, lets work on
some decent, viable, ground rules; rather then declain every scientific
advancement. The Future Does need us as the QUALIA producing section,
otherwise it is value-less. The threat is not smart robots or new life, but
stupid life.
