There are plenty of them, they just don't get air time on the radio network
controlled by the media oligopolists. I read somewhere that less than a half
dozen companies control over 90% of the radio stations in the US.
A lot of the filksongs at SF conventions are pretty funny, and the guy that
wrote that streaking song is still writing stuff, he has some commercials to
sell his 'best of' albums on cable tv, and we can't forget Weird Al Yankovic.
Weird Al has done some pretty funny stuff.
