Yesterday's event may be long remembered as the slashdot version
of Woodstock: huge names on the billet, coulda charged 100 bucks
a ticket and still filled that 500 seat auditorium, the response was
waaay more than anticipated, the hall and overflow hall were both
crammed to the rafters [the local fire chief would not have been
amused], people in the aisles, people standing everywhere along
the sides. Had there been a medical emergency somewhere in
the middle of the throng there is no waaaay we coulda evacuated
the victim. And no one went away disappointed. spike
