Well, yeah, but I've already got a solution for that too. Thermal superconductors built into the sturcutre of sky-hooks will conduct excess heat out of the atmosphere and allow it to be radiated away in space.

Another idea is to promote technologies which produce a form of pollution which negates greenhouse gasses....a first generation form would be simply to genetically engineer plants to be far more efficient converters of solar energy in their photosynthetic processes, thus leading to increased crop rotation, increased oxygen output, etc.
