Getting hopelessly stereotypical here, seeing Swedes as being depressed, morose, and introspective over their present situation in life, and the Italians as being romantic idealists who are paradoxically cynical about government and always figure out ways around it, plus the Scottish predisposition to tinker with things....
Don't get me started on kilt jokes...
Seriously, I would imagine that a Swede who married an extrovert Italian must themselves be pretty extroverted for a Swede.
