This smells fishy to me. Of COURSE colonialism is good for the colonists.
British (ex) colonists have done swimmingly. Better than the French and
the Spanish, even. But what about the natives? You can't just invade
someone else's country and then justify it by saying "Hey, look, it sure
was good for us colonists."

Colonialism is bad for the natives. Let's stick to eliminating
authoritarianism and promoting freedom, eh?
