What I find interesting is when people dismiss his lies on the basis
of "but nobody but fools believed him in the first place."
Might I point out that the same is true of the cigarette companies'
lies for at least the past twenty years. But people who offer this
defense of Clinton won't extend the same courtesy to others.
(I'm not saying they should excuse the tobacco companies; I'm saying
they should be consistent.)
