The fundamental capital is human capital; therefore the alternative 
-- the ONLY alternative -- to capitalism, is slavery.  I for one will 
be quite upset if capitalism ceases to exist.
But, the details of the capitalist system are subject to change.

I think it will be a while before  the process of invention, or the 
process of creation of art, are "automated".  I think that about the 
time this happens, we will have to change our definitions and 
consider the machines that are capable of such things to be people.
Live performances, of course, can *never* be automated.  By 
definition.  Why do people pay more today to see live theater than to 
see a movie?
