The biggest problem I see with conspiracy theories is that the
conspirators seem to be so incredibly (and I mean that literally)
good at predicting not only direct effects, but also second- and
third-order effects of their actions, and at choosing the actions
that will produce the desired effects.

Such people, if they actually exist, will take over the world whether
they conspire together to do so or not.

My opinion of what we would find in real-world conspirators is more
accurately summarized by Michael Flynn's book "In the Country of the
Blind".
