What?? Why? This is after all how most (99%?) viral diseases kill i.e.via
bacterial secondary diseases.

I agree. This normal for a retrovirus like HIV when causing diseases. That
is not even controversial anymore, see Temin and Baltimore, 1975 Nobel prize
winners.
